Wednesday this week I finally received my CWID, however as expected, there are still several issues with this system that have not allowed me to be added to the IACUC protocols. Other than that this week was good. I am getting involved in a study that utilized a variety of different imaging modalities in order to characterize the different levels of damage in a tendon due to tendinopathies. This is a very cool project, although I cannot actually go into the rooms to see the imaging being done because my CWID still does not work. I have also been working on a new model to induce clinically relevant chronic tendinopathies in mice. Currently, I am working on the protocol for this model and designing the experimental set up. I have been learning a lot from listening to students talk about their project and watching surgeries.
